Kanye West has been slowly taking over the fashion industry, and will no doubt become our SUMMER 16' fashion inspiration. His neutral colors, tie die tees and ripped jeans are slowly becoming staples in everyone’s closet.
With Pablo tees and Dad hats popping up all over the place, we are in no position to disagree that: Kanye West is a trendsetter. Whether or not you feel that way, it is true. Since he was sporting pink polo’s and rapping through a wired-shut jaw, the guy has always been three steps ahead of the fashion scene.
These days, we're deep in West's tie-dye moment. Yes, tie-dye. The swirly, streaky patterns you probably last encountered while making a T-shirt at summer camp or, if you're a Dead Head, the last time you did laundry. But 'Ye is all in on the pattern that's popping up in paparazzi snaps and on the runways of big fashion brands (Valentino, Saint Laurent).
The rapper doubled down on the look in the video for Schoolboy Q's latest single, "That Part." In the clip he's sporting not one, but two different kinds of tie-dye, even though both are in a blue/white scheme simply the inverse of each other (white tee/blue dye, blue jeans/white dye).
Additionally, his jeans are of the ripped variety, though we'd like to note that unlike other pairs he's sported recently, this particular version boasts an acceptable amount of rips.
